Details
The Austrian Mint mints the silver Wiener Philharmoniker since 2008. In Austria it's a legal means of payment and has a nominal value of €1.50. Because the value of the silver in the coin is worth much more than that, the Maple Leaf isn't actually used as a means of payment these days. Don't hesitate and buy your own Maple Leaf bullion coin in our web shop.
Design
The world-famous Wiener Philharmoniker Orchestra served as an inspiration source for the decorations of the front and the back of the coin. At the front you can discern different music instruments of the Orchestra and the inscriptions "Wiener Philharmoniker" and "silber". At the back there's an image of 'the Great Organ', the organ in the concert hall which is used during the performances of the orchestra. There're also 4 inscriptions: "Republic Österreich", "1 unze feinsilber", "1.50 euro" and the year of its edition.
Packing
The coins are packed in tubes containing 20 coins. When buying 500 coins, the individual coins are packed in a monster box containing 25 tubes. A full box weighs about 15.55 kg. A monster box is the ideal way to store large quantities of silver coins.
